Junior Police Academy

The Lincoln Park Police Department Community Policing Unit will be holding a Junior Police Academy for recruits between the ages of 10 and 14 who are LINCOLN PARK residents from July 17th - July 21st, 2023.

The mission of the Junior Police Academy is to provide the recruits with a foundation of law enforcement, while enhancing their social skills to become more productive students and members of our community. The academy focus will be leadership, accountability, and problem solving. Curriculum will include various presentations from guest law enforcement agencies, hands-on practices and physical training to give the recruits an idea of what is involved in becoming a Police Officer!

The application start date is April 6th, 2023 at 08:00 AM.

The application deadline is June 2nd, 2023 at 8:00 PM. 

25 recruits will be selected on a first come, first served basis, so please return the application as soon as possible. A waiting list of 10 applicants will be maintained as well.

There is a $50 fee for the Academy to be paid upon submission of the application made out to Lincoln Park Police Department, Memo: Junior Police Academy.

 Uniforms, supplies and lunch will be provided.

Print and return the completed and signed application with $50 fee to Lincoln Park Police Department, Attn: Community Policing Unit, 34 Chapel Hill Road, Lincoln Park, NJ 07035    prior to June 2nd, 2023.

The application packet can be picked up at police headquarters if you are unable to print it.

Notification of acceptance will be made the week of: June 10th, 2023.
