VETERANS DAY 2022
===============================================
Veterans Day is a time for us to pay our respects to those who have served.
Veterans Day is a day to honor the service of people who have worn the uniforms of the armed forces.
For one day, we stand united in respect for you, OUR VETERANS.
As a reminder of the history of Veterans Day:
This holiday started as a day to reflect upon the heroism of those who died in our country's service and was originally called Armistice Day. It falls on November 11th because that is the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I in 1918; formally recognized on the “11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month”. In 1954, after having been through both World War 11 and the Korean War, the holiday was changed to "Veterans Day" in order to honor all veterans in all wars. Veterans Day is on the same day every year -- November 11 -- regardless of on which day of the week it falls.
To all veterans of all branches:
Thank you for your sacrifice, your bravery, and the example you set for us all.
In short, thank you for your service!
To all those who have served, and those who continue to serve…
Happy Veterans Day!
“To those in uniform serving today and to those who have served in the past, we honor you today and every day.”
