Flood Map Open House MeetingsFEMA and the NJDEP has announced it will hold two Open Houses on Nov. 8 and 9 in Morris County to inform county residents about their specific flood risks shown on FEMA’s newly released preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs).
THE NOVEMBER 9th MEETING WILL BE HELD AT THE LP PAL/COMMUNITY CENTER FROM 4 - 8PM. Residents should brig their elevation certificates and flood insurance policies if available.
The Open Houses will provide residents with the opportunity to meet with experts one-on-one to learn more about their flood risk, get information on potential changes to flood insurance rates or requirements, and learn tips on how to mitigate and prepare for future floods.
