Fireworks 2019

FIREWORKS INFORMATION:

Fireworks will begin approximately 7:45pm - 8pm.  PET OWNERS, please prepare your furry friends for approximately 15-20 minutes of fireworks.  Fireworks will only be cancelled in the event of a thunderstorm, we will launch even if there is a drizzle!  

The gates at the Lake will open at 5pm, the bounce houses, food trucks, and music will begin at 6pm.  SHAMROCK will be performing beginning at 6pm and DJ Matt will be spinning tunes throughout the firework display.  The scheduled food trucks are EMPANDA TIMES,  VEGGIE TARRY, SIP-N-SWIRL & ADAM'S ICE-CREAM.  

Limited general parking is available at the Lake, with LIMITED handicapped parking inside the gate, additional parking will be available at the Lincoln Park Middle School.  Please be advised if you park at the Lake you will not be able to exit the Lake parking lot until AFTER the fireworks have ended, (approximately 8:30pm), and the Police have reopened the roadways.  There are NO shuttles this year.  

Please drive safely if you are in the are of the Lake and watch for pedestrians!

Carol Nielsen

CAROL NIELSEN
Served on the Lincoln Park 
Board of Education for 20 years


Carol R. Nielsen, 69, of Lincoln Park, NJ passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019.  She was born in Indianapolis, IN and was a longtime Lincoln Park  resident.

Carol served as a member of the Lincoln Park Board of Education for almost 20 years after first being elected in 2000.  She was passionate about her roll on the board and always focused on what would be in the best interest of the students and teachers.  She loved attending school plays and events and was very proud of the students’ accomplishments. 
 
She attended Michigan State University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.  Carol continued her academic studies at SUNY Buffalo where she received a  Master of Arts in Developmental Psychology and continued on to Rutgers University for her Masters in Business Administration
 
She was employed at Morgan Stanley and its’ predecessor firms for the past 33 years. 

Carol was very proud of a Citi Quality Excellence Award she received in 2007 for the top quality work she produced. 
 
She was an avid reader and a long time member of the Lincoln Park Library book club.
 
She loved Judy Collins and regularly attended her performances whenever she was local.

Memorial Visiting will take place at Keri Memorial Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ on Sunday, September 29 from 3-5 PM.
