Lincoln Park was awarded technical assistance from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers Silver Jackets program to assist with post acquisition restoration planning for heavily flooded areas. The goal of this plan is to help mitigate flooding thru naturalization of areas and working to include passive recreation opportunities (i.e. boating, trails and habitat creation). The Borough and its team (USACE, Rutgers, NJDEP and the County of Morris) are looking for input from the public and request you fill out this short survey below. Holiday Schedule: - THE RECYCLING YARD WILL BE CLOSED: TUESDAY, DECEMBER 24TH & WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 25TH.
- There will be no garbage collection on Wednesday, December 25th.
- Route 2: Recycling will be picked up Thursday, December 26th
- Route 3: Recycling will be picked up Friday, December 27th.
- THE RECYCLING YARD WILL BE CLOSED: Wednesday January 1st.
- Route 3: Recycling January 2nd COMMINGLED ONLY

CURBSIDE RECYCLING CHANGE ALTERNATE WEEKS
Effective January 1, 2020, cardboard and paper will NOT be picked up the same week as commingled (bottles, cans, glass, plastics 1 & 2). Pick up will be on ALTERNATING WEEKS.
For Example :
· Cardboard and paper will be picked up one week .
· Commingled (bottles, cans, glass, plastics 1&2) will be picked up the following week.
COLLECTION DATES/RULES & REGULATIONS: REFER TO 2020 RECYCLING BROCHURE MAILER OR, https://www.lincolnpark.org/204/Recycling, (in addition, the town planner will be sending out calendar with collection dates.)
*This change will improve efficiency, reduce costs, use less fuel and reduce carbon emissions.
“When in doubt throw it out” -it is better to throw out an item with your solid waste rather than risk contaminating the recyclables. ALMOST 30% IF RECYCLED ITEMS END UP IN LANDFILLS DUE TO CONTAMINATION. It is best to reduce, then reuse and finally recycle.

FLU VACCINESThe Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends a yearly flu vaccine for everyone 6 months of age and older. Certain people are at a greater risk for serious complications from the flu. Those at high risk include: - Children younger than 5, but especially children younger than 2 years old
- People 65 years of age and older
- Pregnant women and women up to 2 weeks postpartum
- American Indians and Alaskan Natives
- People who have medical conditions such as asthma, heart disease and diabetes
Flu vaccination should also be a priority for those persons who live with or care for individuals at higher risk for complications. |

Atlantic Health Events: Tree of Light CeremonyPurchase a light in honor of, or in memory of, that special person in your life. Your light will shine throughout the holiday season, and donor and honoree names will be on display in the Chilton Medical Center lobby throughout the months of December and January. Tree lighting ceremony will take place at Chilton Medical Center on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM, and will include entertainment and a reception in the Board room following the tree lighting. To purchase a light or for more information, contact the Auxiliary Office at 973-831-5345. Diabetes Education and Support GroupDiabetes patients can receive mutual education and encouragement. This group meets the first Thursday of the month, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. An evening group meets the third Wednesday of the month from 7:00 to 8:30pm. - Remind them that even though this might be a difficult or even painful time, things change and they will likely feel better at a later time.
- Most importantly, let them know that you love and/or care for them.
