Hose Company 2 was established in 1948 by several Lincoln Park residents that were members of P.O.L. Co. #2, of the Wayne Fire Department. A two bay structure, built on property acquired from the Prentice Family, was built by the organizing members through donations by the local residents. In 1962, The Hose Co. held a burning of the mortgage celebration to commemorate the final payment of the mortgage on the building and property.
