2020
CURBSIDE RECYCLING CHANGE  ALTERNATE WEEKS

 
Effective January 1, 2020, cardboard and paper will NOT be picked up the same week as commingled (bottles, cans, glass, plastics 1 & 2).  Pick up will be on ALTERNATING WEEKS.
For Example :
· Cardboard and paper will be picked up one week .
· Commingled (bottles, cans, glass, plastics 1&2) will be picked up the following week.
 
COLLECTION DATES/RULES & REGULATIONS:  REFER TO 2020 RECYCLING BROCHURE MAILER OR,  https://www.lincolnpark.org/204/Recycling,  (in addition, the town planner will be sending out calendar with collection dates.)
 
*This change will improve efficiency, reduce costs, use less fuel and reduce carbon emissions.
 
 “When in doubt throw it out” -it is better to throw out an item with your solid waste rather than risk contaminating the recyclables. ALMOST 30% IF RECYCLED ITEMS END UP IN LANDFILLS DUE TO CONTAMINATION. It is best to reduce, then reuse and finally recycle.
