I am pleased to inform you that as of the writing of this letter, Lincoln Park has NO confirmed or suspected cases of the novel coronavirus.
After careful consideration, however, I have decided to declare a State of Emergency for the Borough of Lincoln Park due to the ongoing concerns with the COVID-19 virus. This declaration is primarily a borough acknowledgement of actions put in place following the Governor’s statewide emergency status. Further, it allows us to make certain decisions which affect us directly on a municipal level and provides access to potential resources from state and federal agencies as they are made available.
This declaration should not unduly alarm anyone in Lincoln Park. This is merely a proactive step to be taken to help insure that we are prepared moving forward. Please read the following emergency declaration. Borough Hall will remain open for business, though we are restricting public access both for the safety of our residents and our employees. Most business can be conducted via phone, email, online and using borough drop boxes for correspondence and payments. There will be limited hours for making cash payments in the finance department. All other face to face business in town hall must be done with an appointment. Phone directories for departments and individual employees can be found on the borough’s website and are available outside of the entrances to the municipal building.
These and any further actions are constantly being monitored by myself, Borough Department Heads and other professionals and are subject to change at any time. The Borough will continue to send updates and additional information as necessary. Please monitor the borough website, Facebook, Twitter and Channel 77 for additional information.
