EVENTS & RESOURCES
June is Men's Health Month

June is Men's Health Month

Celebrated each year during June, Men’s Health Month brings awareness to the health issues all men face. Hosted by Men’s Health Network since 1992, the month is dedicated to enriching men’s health and wellness through a broad spectrum of national screening and educational campaigns. Did you know that men, on average, die almost five years earlier than women? Part of the reason is that men are more reluctant to go to the doctor, according to menshealthmonth.org. In fact, studies show that women go to the doctor twice as much as men.   Learn more at Men's Health Resource Center  http://www.menshealthresourcecenter.com/

Ticks

Spring is here and with the warmer weather some great things, like spring flowers, will be happening outside. But along with the pretty flowers come some not so welcome things, like ticks. Over the last few decades ticks have spread across more of the United States and with them come the diseases they carry. Visit the CDC website for information on how to protect yourself, your family and your pets and the measures to take if you find a tick. Insert link named CDC - Ticks https://www.cdc.gov/ticks/index.html
